I thought I would write a quick update since it's been many months since I did. I'm still around, and still writing :-) I finished my 5th novel, First Light in Tlakari, in November. When I write up a synopsis, I'll include it on the site. Now I've been busy working on the 6th novel (which doesn't have a definite title yet).

There is a new event posted in the Events link. This one is in LaVale, MD (western MD), so it's quite a hike for those who live in the Baltimore/DC metro area. But if you live out that way or can make the trip, I would be happy to see you there! Another addition to the site is on the Other Projects page. I included a brief summary of my 4th completed novel, The Accident Line.

Since the book trailer featured in the October 8 entry was not a free service, I gave it a good run and now I've transferred it to Photobucket. To see it, scroll all the way down to the bottom of this page, where the slideshow (or as Photobucket calls it--the "remix") is posted.

I have finally included more information about my 3rd novel, This Crimson Valley on the Other Projects page, so please check it out. Also, there's a new event on the Events page... I'll be doing a signing with my good friend Catherine Donaldson, author of The Captains Marshall: A Promise of Freedom, as well as one other author, on April 15th.

It's another new year, and hopefully 2007 will be as productive as 2006 was. Liquid Bones is coming up on the one-year anniversary of its official release. Thanks to everyone who helped make the year so great!

Another booksigning is scheduled--see the Events page for details. Also, I have included a description of a recent work of fiction in the Other Projects page. This Crimson Valley is a novel I wrote after Liquid Bones, and I hope to later expand this site to include more about the book.

My author copies of Liquid Bones have sold! But don't worry, the book is still available through Amazon, Barnes and Noble, etc. I just have no more copies to sell through this website, so the PayPal option on the "Where to Buy" page has been removed. Thanks to everyone who has read the book, and feel free to keep giving feedback!

My next booksigning has been scheduled for October 12th. This one will be a little different--it will be at a small independent book store, where the atmosphere will be more cozy and personal. And unlike my signings at the Barnes and Noble stores, for this one I'll be giving a little speech and doing a reading beforehand. It's a welcome change that I'll be looking forward to! I returned from my trip out west earlier this month, and I had a great time. I got to see Bismarck, the Badlands, and Black Hills, all of which are mentioned in Liquid Bones. And the Bismarck booksigning was great--all of the locals were very friendly and hospitable. As for webpage updates, there is a new review and a couple new links.

This past Saturday I attended the Writers League of Washington's annual luncheon as the key speaker. It was an honor to be asked to speak, and I thank everyone who came and participated in the discussion. And as always, a special thanks goes out to those who purchased a copy of Liquid Bones! In other news, a family emergency has delayed my trip out to the Dakotas by a couple days, so my Bismarck booksigning will now take place on Monday, May 29th from 1-3 pm.

I'm a little late in reporting this, but my booksigning at Barnes and Noble in downtown Baltimore on March 11th went really well. It was just what I hoped it would be, and what every author looks forward to when beginning the process of having a book published! I posted a picture of the signing under the Events section.

Thanks to everybody who came out to Betty and Jake's Tavern. It was a fun evening. Nothing beats a night full of Karaoke. Special thanks to Aburaz Entertainment for the invite. Also, thanks to Sue, Andy, Diana, Patty, Cathy and everybody else who came by to see me. It was an enjoyable event.

Things have been going extremely well since the book has been released. I had my first booksigning at work last week, and was very happy with the turnout. Thanks to all that came! Hey everybody. Sorry for the long wait in between update times. So far, things are going well. The publication process is nearing completion. In fact, the final proofs for the book cover came today. Check it out and tell me what you think...

The final proofs (the second set) have been submitted, and now the book is off to cover design. Once the design is received, it will be posted right here on the home page of the site. Hopefully it will just be a few more weeks before Liquid Bones is available for pre-order.
